This Document that I wrote implies that Herobrine DID exist.
Testificate.com , the website that would technically host the Herobrine "Virus" (Following theory A; see below) has nothing more on it, and has been taken down, possibly due to Mojang's purchase of the domain. (see proof in documentary)

I have devised 3 theories based on my findings-
A) Herobrine is an outside "virus", Injecting itself into select users .minecraft files through an open port or "door" (probably/probably not at Mojang's discretion)
B) Herobrine is the ghost of a dead Swedish gamer, who fell into comatose from either the game or drug abuse and "haunts" certain users minecraft worlds
C) Herobrine is simply a "mysterious object" that mojang installed during the early releases of minecraft and shortly removed it, following a big game of "telephone" that confused the hoax (brocast livestream) with what the real thing was.
- Please note that these theories all follow the same standard: "Somehow, herobrine was removed from the game" -
