I'm interested! I sent a private message via Planet Minecraft [just ask if you want me to private message you on another application.] with details concerning my application. Thank you, have a good day.
IGN: Temperate [However you can call me by my real name, Priyanka. Both work fine]
Age: As of right now, I have just recently turned 14, roughly 2 months ago.
Timezone: My timezone as of this current date is Eastern Time. I am not planning to move in my near future as I still have another 4 years left of school before I head on off to college. Although I do travel a lot, I am planning on getting a laptop next year which I will most likely bring with me when I travel internationally [which I do a lot more than domestic flights]. My current location is Long Island located in New York in the United States. As an added note, I will inform you whenever I leave my state/country so you know if my hours will be changed and whether I will be on different hours or not.
Approximated Online Activity: Unsurprisingly, I have more free time in the summertime with summer break, like most people [excluding my camp and music lessons] so I will be on more frequently unless I have an event to go to whether it be a family event or a social gathering amongst my friends. As of right now my average time per week would be at least 18+ but most likely much more than that. Daily, I would say I can get on for at least 5 hours on weekdays and approximately 4 hours on weekend days. As of right now, I cannot say what my average hours will be during the school year as I will be entering my first year of High School which is a completely different school than what I'm used to. Added with the clubs I will probably do, I am uncertain of what my times will be.
Preferred Staff Position: If I am being completely honest, which I am, I must say I prefer any staff position that you are willing to give me [with the exception of GTX or Graphics Designer as I am not as well versed with that compared to my other strengths]. Like any other human being I have my strengths as well as my weaknesses and I know my place within a staff ranking system. I have been appointed many different positions and even if they were new to me I adapted and got better in that specific area which overall, made me a more 'rounded' person. As of this moment in time, I have experience in Minecraft building, how to set up a buycraft and laying out/modifying an enjoin website [I know you are using enjoin as of right now but I am very good with learning new things and have good taste in aesthetics should you feel the need to change the website provider]. I also have some experience in managing staff along with being an economy supervisor. I do not want to seem as though I am 'selling myself' as I know that is another part of the application. My point is, that I will not mind whatever staff position you appoint me to, should it be something I have never done before and need to learn/grasp the basics or something I am decently experienced in.
What is your current level of knowledge on MC: I have multiple years of experience in Minecraft, 3 to be exact, so naturally I would pick up some basic knowledge on how server plugins operate. Some plugins I know how to operate efficiently would be Group Manager, Civilians 2 [NPC], World Edit, Prison Mines, Factions, Essentials, and pretty much any other basic plugin that a server would need to function. I have little knowledge on Permissions EX [PEX] but I know enough to make some groups. I know how Essentials [or any other plugin] permissions as well as various different World Edit commands work as well. As for in-game vanilla Minecraft, before I even went out and bought the game I knew pretty much everything there is to know about the game, ever since I have purchased Minecraft my knowledge of the game has only broadened.
Previous Server Staff Experience: Yes, I do. Although I am not currently working on any other Minecraft server projects at the moment I have worked on multiple servers in the past. As I have stated before, I have been hired for multiple positions for different reasons. Whether it be for building for the server or overlooking staff projects, they have always said that I produce a good end result. Although this may seem like I am over-exaggerating [which I do not blame you for as I am only 14 years of age] I can assure you that I am not. Most of the servers I have worked on have eventually closed but I will never forget the experiences and lessons I have learned from them. Whether it be real life-applicable or tips and tricks within the Minecraft game. I have even offered to be payed for my services towards a belated prison server [I have proof of this if you want it]. As of right now, I have never been demoted on any of these past servers but I have left a couple just because of tons of staff drama. I have a previous application here on Planet Minecraft, which i am unsure if the thread is still available as the server shut down because of a lack of funds but you can clearly see that I was accepted as an administrator by the owner.
On average, how much time can you commit to be a staff member? I can commit at least 6 hours daily on weekdays and 4 hours on weekend days [this is per day]. On Tuesdays I will not be on from 7:00-7:30 p.m Eastern Standard Time because of my music lesson that I have every week. I will normally get on after 12:30 p.m for around 1-2 hours and then leave to come back later at night [mind you this is my summer schedule]. I stay up really late at night so I will be able to get on after suppertime for a pretty long while. Paired with the fact I will most likely record for YouTube as well as stream on Twitch in Minecraft, I will most likely be on the server while I am editing and uploading my videos. Of course, those are for the days I am recording most of the time will me getting online whenever I possibly can.
Do you have Skype? On a scale of 1 to 10 how good are you to talking to strangers? For the first question, yes I do indeed have Skype. I actually use it quite often and use it when I am playing video games quite frequently. As for the second question, I believe I am probably a 9 because of my experience [although it is short] of being a YouTuber and Streamer. As a streamer, sometimes my viewers want to hop into a Skype call with me and of course I would gladly accept. They would be on stream with me chatting and having conversations, all the while focusing on the game itself. I also have been told that I am good at 'breaking the ice' or 'alleviating the tension' in the atmosphere. The reason why I am not a 10 is because no one is perfect and that I sometimes have a problem with awkward situations. For Yes/No questions I would say I am mostly cool with that sort of stuff.
Why do you want to become a Staff Member? I see that this server has a lot of potential and I would be grateful to be accepted and help out with this server network. This server seems like a great community [the fact people are bumping it without knowing some of the staff personally astounds me!] and I love any server that isn't a toxic community. From what I have seen so far [I checked out the Enjoin website] that there has been a lot of planning involved as well as a ton of time being put aside to make 'VorteK Academy' a reality. I also want to become a staff member because I would hate to see this server become a victim of toxicity [as I have stated before] where a lot of hackers come to ruin players' fun. I am the type of person who has zero tolerance when it comes to hackers and people who want to ruin a community as nice as this [Exempting warnings given to players who apologize and follow them].
Why should we pick YOU out of all the other applicants? Now, I am not forcing you to choose me over other applicants because I, myself know that I am probably not the best one out there. As I've said before I know how servers work and I know the tim and effort that goes into creating and keeping a server, let alone a chain of servers up and running. Even though I have zero tolerance for those who don't follow the rules after warnings are given, I know when people don't know what they are doing wrong and will explain the impact of what they're doing to the server whether it be good or bad. I am normally a patient person who knows how to be strict and business-like but I also know when to have fun and communicate with others in a friendly sort of way. I am unique in my own way [which you will find out shortly should you accept me] and know I would be a great help to 'VorteK Academy'.
What can you offer if you become a Staff Member? I believe that I can make a positive impact in this community by encouraging other players to have fun, being welcoming to those who are new and returning players, being helpful by either answering some questions about the server or helping them deal with some bugs and issues. I want to make players feel as though they are having a great time and wouldn't want to leave. I like to say that my happiness is contagious [pretty much goes with any other feeling I show] and I wish to make other players feel that way. I believe if given the chance, I will make this community welcoming, to the best of my ability.
Give us examples of how you would deal with situations as a Staff Member: I believe that everyone makes mistakes so the way I deal with problems such as hackers and toxic players is to give them 3 warnings before a punishment is given. The first warning will be an alert that they are doing something wrong that they should not be doing. The second one [if they do not figure out what they are doing wrong] I will address them in public chat about what they are doing incorrectly. For the third and final warning, I will list out punishments that will be given if they continue with the bad behavior. Finally, depending on the situation, I would deal out the consequences. If I have insufficient permissions to do so, I will contact a higher staff member. Some examples of punishments would be a kick and then eventually a ban for hackers and for players not following the chat rules, a 10 minute mute and then the muted time would get progressively higher and higher. [Please note that these are only examples, depending on the severity of the situation bigger and smaller punishments will be given.]
