I personally think that it is being worked on, as I've been watching the bug tracker. From what has been posted, I have come to believe that the skin servers WERE changed, meaning 1.7.6 draws from the new servers, yet the format hasn't been changed. It may be fixed, it may not be. Looking at the official Mojang post, they never say that the format will be implemented in the 1.7.6 update, they only talked about the servers changing for skins. Again, that is my assumption, I could be 100% wrong about all that.

[Edit] But... now that I think about it... He might be talking about how skins are sent to the client?

Not a problem MysteryOwner. But is anyone else confused by the fact that 1.7.6 does not seem to have the new skin layout? Because if I remember right jeb_ said not to long ago that 1.7.6 would have it. Unless I missed something.

I was not reporting that. I was just pointing out for anyone that is wanting both 1.7.5 and 1.7.6 clients to be able to join their server that Spigot is an option. That and Spigot cant fix the skin bug b/c 1.7.2 - 1.7.5 and 1.7.6 load skins differently, from what I have seen.

Or if you use Spigot you can just update to the latest build that allows 1.7.2-1.7.6 clients to join. There are some bugs like 1.7.6 clients do not see the skins on player heads, But it does work other then that.

Jetra, I got bastiao09 all set up. The problem he was having was the fact you cant just make a copy of the 1.6.2 folder in the Version folder and paste the April 1 MC jar in and expect it to work. but he is all set up now.

Yes Phoenix_13, Only people with Optifine can see the Optifine cape (If you donated). but a lot of Minecraft users use optifine to not only get better FPS but to improve World Loading. But b/c of the changes with Minecraft it seems Optifine is not working as well as it normally does. I have seen instances where people get the same/less FPS then with out it.

that is not always the case b/c some times people don't know how to zip them correctly so you end up having to extract the zip inside the zip for it to work.

Its funny a lot of people seems to be confused that the launcher for Minecraft 1.6 has gotten a new update today. even though its not set in stone i like how it looks.
and while im thinking about it here is a tweet Dinnerbone made about an hour ago

I like the Pocket Edition for what it is. not for what it is not. think about it this way, The PC version was a lot like how the PE version is right now. people still paid for it b/c they knew it would grow and get better over time.

Why does every block based game automatically copy Minecraft? Its not like Minecraft is the first game ever to have blocks. just my opinion.

I would not say that 1.6.1 is anywhere close to being the worst Minecraft update ever. I really like the changes made. Yes I know a large part of updates are stuff a big part of the community may not use, but its still cool to have them. Also Dinnerbone posted 2 days ago on Twitter "Just had a meeting about the design of the new launcher. We're going places baby! Expect it to look slightly prettier within the next 2 days."

No, In the preview for Minecraft 1.6 if you rename a mob "Dinnerbone" it will flip upside down.
