back story(optional, you can keep yourself a mystery): Ryland had always been unusual. He didn't hang around other boys, but instead swam in the waters of a river located near his house. He practiced in these waters for a long time, steadily getting better. He loved swimming. Once he had enough experience, he entered a competitive swim team. He didn't mind his teammates, the ones whom slowly swam behind him wandering how he got such an aggressive swimmer. He surpassed his teammates in all the strokes, completing races in record time. However, when Ryland had made it to the nationals, his last race was against Dawn, a person whom he had long rivaled with in his old school two years back. When he was competing Dawn got some inches ahead of him, and the anger inside him popped. Dawn flew out of the water, hit the wall, and was hexed. Ryland could not control his anger, and soon he had to live home-schooled after other similar incidents began occurring. Ryland hated his parents who contastly went away on vacation without him--as if they "pretended they didn't have a son." His anger directed at his parents in the reason why his dad is in a Wheel-Chair, and why his mother has had to broken legs. But soon he got the letter for Hogwarts, and his parents happily let him leave the house. He was happy to leave as well.
