I'm not offended I just know lots of people prefer large servers. Anyway the server is offline (im on my cell phone actually) but it will be on later on if you want to still go on.

If you want to go ahead (not up atm though)

Just out of curiosity why don't you want to? is it too small for you or what? I'm not an amateur (with servers) but I just don't have enough cash to buy (pay for) a massive server

I started up my own server recently - it is a work in progress.

    Server info...

Slots: 12 (this will increase once I get a better host - currently my own computer hosts it)
    Plugins: some world protection ones
    IP: sbobserver.mooo.com

If you accept I will white-list you and we'll see how it goes

My server (in the list): http://www.planetminecraft.com/server/sbobs-server/

Note: the server will be on later tonight (PM me)

    Thanks I'll check it out

    ZaphodXWhat FPS are you getting?

Change default run path to 64-bit java. (Guide bottom of here)

    Use optifine.

Try allocating 1/2GB as Carole suggested above.

I don't know about optifine (I know about it but I don't like it) granted it looks cool but I cant stand all of the motion blur and the extra crap.

creeperCarolequestion: earlier you stated that you were running a machine with 8Gb of RAM, yet you're running Windows 7 32bit? That won't allow you to access more than 3Gb of that RAM. You must run Win7 64bit to use more than 3Gb of RAM...

Sorry about the confusion the system I mentioned earlier is my desktop... and you already know the specs. on that.

The computer with the error (this thread :p) is an ancient one. It is an IBM Thinkpad T43

    Specs...

    Windows 7 Ultimate (32bit)
    Intel Pentium M 750 (1.86GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 533MHz FSB)
    14.0" SXGA (1400 x 1050) display
    60GB, 7200RPM Hard Drive
    2GB DDR2 (updated)
    9-cell extended life battery
ATI X300 Graphics Card with 64MB RAM
    Intel PRO/Wireless 2915 802.11 a/b/g internal wireless card

I know this laptop is able to run Minecraft (slow but playable). Anyway this laptop is a tank - I've dropped it nearly 6 times and everything works great.

Well like I said it only does it sometimes... it is a hit or miss normally. It either runs like garbage or it runs near perfect.
