If you don't earn money making something that has copyright on it, you're free to do what you wish with it, assuming you're not claiming that you made it. Explaining it simply it works like that at least.

Am I late with my weekly update? Yeah, a few days! Sorry about it, but I've had a new roof being installed on my house, my fiancee got sick and now I'm sick so I'm sorry about the delay, but here's the latest weekly update! <3

Wow, all those responses!

As for those guessing, I'm not going to confirm or deny anything as I know people enjoy guessing in general without others trying to tell them what it is. So for those who even post pictures they find, you're not getting any answers still because it doesn't matter and some people out there doesn't want it. <3

Also, thank you for liking it people! I'm sorry I haven't been so active in replies and posting here lately, got a new internet connection (fiber optics, involved some digging and welding) so I've been setting up a new streaming environment and such, thus being a bit too busy to keep up with some stuff!

BUT enough about that, lets post the latest picture update now, and as always if you want more regular updates, my streams are always on time so you can go to the first post and check that out if you feel I'm posting too slowly or similar here (including a week-by-week update on the first page). <3

Hi! Sorry I'm late, I got some of you dropping by my stream to remind me to post the latest weekly update. Been a bit busy the past week outside of it so didn't have much time to come in here!

Anyhow, it's now at 375.000'ish blocks after 7 weeks and one third done basically! Of course, as always, the first post includes a "week by week" progress documentation.

This time I'm on time!



Even managed to stop building on friday at a corner for a smooth line. Currently spent almost 4 weeks on this piece, and it's expected to take over 1.000 hours to build total...so at least we've gotten started, eh? Of course as always, this picture also exists on the first post for a full "as weeks pass by" preview.

And for all you others who commented just now: Thank you for liking my attitude, I think it's important to have a good attitude in life to be able to enjoy it more (plus, a 11 year depression in the past taught me that happier is better to be).

Of course, if you people do have ANY questions whatsoever (other than what the build is about ) feel free to ask and I'll be glad to answer anything and put all the Q's into a Q&A post. <3

Wow, that's a big bunch of replies (and guesses)! Thanks for that people.

I'm glad you like what you're seeing so far, and like I tell people who tune into my stream and guess what I'm building: "Maybe it is, maybe it isn't, it's a secret until it's done". So maybe it's Smaug, maybe it's Diablo, maybe it's a really burned chicken! Congratulations if you happened to get it right, but I'll still not confirm anything, even if it'll get obvious for some. <3

I also want to thank MrTree for dropping by the stream regularly to talk with me while building this. Thanks mate. <3

Sorry about the late update, but here's the latest progress picture (also added to the main post for those that want to see "week by week" progress in one post:



I don't know about you, but I think it's starting to look pretty good now, at roughly 150.000 blocks out of 1.128.960 total. And also, a big thank you to those of you who have dropped by my stream, it's nice to meet and hang out with you. I just wish I had more time to spare to come here too with all of you awesome people and your awesome projects. <3

EDIT: Figured I'd reply to some messages here too:

Is this superflat? This is superflat and on grass yes, on my own personal server.

How do you know this is a world record attempt? Because Guinness doesn't list any pixel arts in Minecraft as records, and there are no proven arts this big built by one by hand without using softwares to create them.

Do you build by hand? Yup, every single block placed one after another. I just like a challenge. For proof you can always visit my stream on Twitch, which is linked in the first post.

How do you know how big it is? Because it has dimensions, and multiplying them gives the exact number of blocks included, as the picture has a very detailed background.

And I'm glad you want to keep it secret delshady, makes it more fun for the ones who haven't guessed yet. I'm sure someone will be guessing openly soon though. Next update is planned for either next monday or this friday. Depends on how much progress I do this week.

As far as any proof is considered, this would be the world record, hopefully to also be confirmed/established by Guinness. And if this isn't enough, my next one should be enough with the mentioned above one million blocks size.

Animan2I have seen so many fakes that i don't believe anymore that there exists legit (large scale) pixel artists http://www.planetminecraft.com/skin/templar-2776569/ this picture? You might turn it into somekinda fighting action maybe...? (just a suggestion)


Yeah, it's easy to get more skeptical from seeing all fakes, I myself just try to stay positive because it helps me stay a happy person (used to be depressed, so positive thinking helps me stay away from that). And thank you for that request, but I do not do Minecraft related art in Minecraft (Minecraft skins, mobs, items), I prefer the requests to be something else to show people when I stream that you can do so different things with the game than some people except.

And yeah, I prefer doing it all a few layers at a time, helps my focus better than outlining it. The only time I don't do a few layers at a time, is if there's too many one-colored blocks in one section as it might make it harder for me to sync everything up.


Electro_XDThese pixel arts are amazing <3, I've hung around on his Twitch and i could tell you guys that this is NOT program-generated. The best thing about this amazing guys is that he is doing twitch because of raising awareness of ebola and helping charity to raise money!


Yeah, thank you for dropping by and hanging out with us Electro. It was a great pleasure, and it is true that I'm up until this friday am holding a big attempt to raise money for charity (1100+ USD raised since friday) at the moment. I just feel that I've gotten a good position in life being a partnered streamer on Twitch, and the least I can do is try to help other streamers get established and do regular charities to help the less fortunate.

AzieJust make sure to visit your account page and change your date format via your user control panel (located in the bottom left of the account page) so you can see the full date and time stamp for when a reply was posted so you don't accidentally bump too soon.



I was more thinking of those cool things that show up when I click other peoples accounts and see their "projects" thing, figured that might be something I'm supposed to do too, and how to do that. Or maybe my pixel art builds are not really considered "projects" in that term? (which I'd totally understand and respect)

You're welcome to keep posting pixel art in the forum. I'm not sure why Drazieth felt the need to minimod and tell you not to post them as a submission when you haven't done so to begin with.

Hi and thank you Azie! I actually went around the forums and did read the rules, so the rule you're talking about I believe is:

Pixel Art: While it is possible to create original pixel art, almost all pixel art is created through software programs like Spritecraft or simply copied from an image by hand. This is against the Program-Generated content and Tracing guidelines. If you have original pixel art that you would like to post, please do so on the forums.

So I will continue to post my pixel arts then. However, I posted thread in the "Buildings" section, is that the correct place for it, so I'm not posting it wrongly? And is there any particular way I can make it easier for people to access the projects, to make it easier for you guys to find when I update my library?

Sorry if I'm just being bad at seeing things, I'm in the middle of a 168h charity marathon so my focus has been quite bad the past few days. xD

Since you apparently seem to have felt that it was too much hard work to look up one of my builds in progress as I already linked to, I will directly link you to a video of me building one of these (and more videos do exist of previous works), AND also point out you can zoom into it at 1h, 2h, 3h, 4h, 5h, 6h, 7h or ANYWHERE in it for legit proof of it being handbuilt.

I hope it is clear enough for you now Drazieth (and anyone else), that it IS built by hand, no matter how easy it may be to assume otherwise just because the option exists. I hope this helps you remove your doubts, and that you take the proof instead of being pessimistic about someone putting hard work into something. <3

It's easier to assume it's legit until proven wrong, rather than assuming it's not legit and being wrong. <3
