mutcraftyou also forgot the operating system to use.
AdventurekingdomGreat Idea, I 'm not good at making computers , but I can evaulaute pretty well, and My friends have all decided that too. (Since the xbox 1 is coming out, we are switching to Pc gaming) I'm going to buy something like a Hexa core. 3.3 ghz Nvidia 660 or so, I kinda of wrote this in a hurry, so excuse the unclairty.
(Nice idea though)
MercalynGood build. I'm no custom PC expert, but I think that's very decent for the price.
This is the diagram I used to build my custom PC:

As you can see, the black squares represent a compatibility to be checked off. For instance: The line connecting processor to the motherboard has two compatibilities needed to be checked off, called Socket, and CPU support. I made sure that both processor and motherboard supported intel i5(obviously an intel CPU IS the i5), and
had socket of LGA 1155. Then I blackened the square.
As far as I know I didn't miss anything. If I did, then I was lucky enough to not have to catch it, since my build works.

I am going to build a PC liquid cooling thing on my rig next. The fans can't handle it!
You can go to http://http://www.gooeypc.com/ to check compatibility as well, but software like that misses about as much as you or I would as a human.
If you were wondering, my build was:

_DioM_Trianglemaster9Can't go wrong with the Corsair 300R
I've been looking a bit at the 500r, a more expensive; though better equipped, case.Ninja-CrafterI like the Antec 300 that is the one I used when I built the gaming computer I built. funny since I am using it to write this post.
That one's a bit too dull for me, though thanks for the reply!
