It should run good, but if you can afford it get a Radeon HD 6679 2GB. I have one in my portable computer, its pretty fast, tops around 130 FPS with an A6-5400K

Ok, I think the 7970 would suite my needs better than the 280X. Is there benefits for using an AMD cpu and gpu together?

Yes i will play other games. Thanks for the advice. And for a higher end graphics card what would you recommend, gtx 770 or a radeon 7970 or 7950?

Diamond hoes are about the most amazing thing in the world. What you gotta do is get abunch of enchanted books (like sharpness, smite, fire aspect) and then use an Anvil to use in on the hoe. Its perfect and it never wears down.
For me the most useless thing is those ugly dead desert plants.

There's nothing wrong with being an Intel fan. Honestly, Intel is better for more expensive builds (+$1500-$2000) but for a low cost build that's skill high quality and preforms well, AMD is the way to go (in my opinion).

So, next you cannot SLI two different GPUs. (that is in the situation that you are using SLI to refer to using Nvidia cards) But you can Crossfire two different model cards aslong as they are both AMD. (For those of you who don't now CrossFireX is the AMD version of Nvidia's SLI) But on the other hand you can SLI two different BRANDS of Nvidia cards. Say you have a 2GB EVGA 660 and a 2GB MSI 660, that would work. (also includes Asus, Gigabyte, etc.)

(BTW most AMD CPUs ARE better for he price)
A FX-8350($195) easily beats and Intel i5-3570k ($220) in performance.

Yea I would too. I have a FX4350 with a EVGA 660 and I wasn't super tight on the budget and I'm wishing I had gotten the 8350 instead. But anyways, what is your budget? If it more in the $1500 range I would suggest a 8350 and a EVGA SC 770.
(If minecraft supported SLI I would tell you to get two 650 Ti boosts and SLI them.

Assuming you talking about the FX-6300 not the Intel Core2 E6300 I would agree with you, 6 cores, 3.5GHz, and a 8MB cache would be the way to go, unless of course you would be willing to spend another $75 to get the FX-8350 (which I would recommend)

Ok it looks like those parts will work, one thing I would suggest though is instead of the Optical Drive you had chose I would get something like this - http://www.amazon.com/Lite--Super-AllWr ... s=allwrite This is what I have, its cheap, still has good features and is shipped by amazon for free, and amazon is really reliable. I still do suggest using an AMD Processor, just for example, the Processor you have chose has 4 cores, at 3.4GHz, with a 6MB Cache for $220, while the AMD FX-8350 has 8 cores, at 4GHZ with a 8MB cache for only $195 on amazon... Just something I suggest you check out if you looking at best performance for the price... Heres the link-

Well, it would probably be ok but you put the link for the mother twice and no link for the CPU. Obviously it will be an intel processor though, but for the price, AMD processors are better.

Ok, I actually got the regular 660 SC not the Ti, i forgot the mention that, I switched from a Corsair 650D to a Corsair 300R,which is about $80 less, and swapped the M5A97 for a M5A99FX. I also am planning on adding a second monitor and another GPU along with it which eill probably be a GTX 760 SC w/ ACX. And i take your an intel fan.

That's funny because I actually am planning on adding a second monitor, and I'm trying to decide between the 760 and the 770 although the 770 might be a little expensive...
