Communities/Texturing How do i get resource packs to work

Ive got the same thing, I believe its how resource packs are set up, but when you go to put it on, the default texture pack is the only one there. I was testing it with WINRAR and unzipped folders too, but it wasent changed, since I just made it a default texture pack but renamed it 'test'. nothing works! defaults not bad tho..

You guys are lifesavers. I deleted my .minecraft for a fresh start with no mods and just 1.6, but I thought the textures left with 1.5 in it, cause I couldnt find them. I found them, thanks so much! xD

Cool! Personally, I'd just change my username 'unknown1001' to a capital u. xD I get a bit picky with my username

Personally, if you want flat flat land, use super flat land, but there should be more biomes. Jungle here.. snow there.. meh. I know it was there, and I have nothing new to enjoy. Someplace maybe there's emeralds too, instead of just in extreme hills? A nicer place I'd like to see, like a common biome from extreme biomes mod maybe?
