I think that end should give something worthy for the endgame like elytra does it. But the problem that it is easy to get into the end and beat dragon. You don't need even one single diamond to "beat" a game! My suggestion is to add one mod (I don't remember the name, but it adds unique eye of enders that you can find in the structures, everywhere to make game less speedrunish) into the vanilla Minecraft. While beating Minecraft, in the way that most players do, you can skip a lot of content that Minecraft has.
