optifine is a downloadable addon to minecraft which allows you set a hotkey (c by default) for a zoom along with boosting your frames slightly, you can also donate (10 us dollars idk about anything else) for a cape which can either be a solid color have the letters "OF" on it or set it to a custom banner :)

you could backup the world and load it on the newer version and hope it works, if it doesn't work just use the backup and play on the version it was made on

yeah i died once cause i couldnt make a crafting table, i forgot why i needed to craft something but it happened :(

maybe like a tamable mob that allows to atleast temporarily fly around without the need to take off your chestplate maybe you could use chorus fruit to tame it, idrk whatd it actually be but maybe something with phantoms cause they seem viable for an end enemy or a special island you can find where a giant spawns as another boss/mini-boss
