Age of Enlightenment is a competitive dark-fantasy survival experience built inside Minecraft by Verum Interactive.

Two or more teams enter an isolated battlefield where resources are limited, the environment is dangerous, and every player has only one life.

Instead of open-world sandbox survival, matches are organized as 5v5 tactical survival battles on a dedicated isolated map.

    The objective is simple:
eliminate the enemy team and survive.

    Core Concept

Each match is played between two teams of five players on a dedicated map.

Players must gather resources, craft equipment, build defenses, and track down the opposing team.

Food is scarce, night is dangerous, and every decision matters.

If you die, you are eliminated from the match.

    Gameplay Philosophy

Unlike traditional Minecraft survival, the game focuses on tactical combat and team strategy.

    Important design elements include:

    • slower, weight-based movement
    • stamina-based combat
    • bleeding and bandaging mechanics
    • limited resources and food
    • defensive base building
    • dangerous night gameplay
    • one-life survival rules

Matches often evolve into tense hunts, ambushes, and desperate final fights.

    Match Flow

    1. Teams spawn on opposite sides of the map
    2. Players gather resources and craft basic gear
    3. Teams explore structures like mines, crypts, and villages
    4. Stronger equipment and defenses are built
    5. Teams eventually encounter each other and battle

The match ends when one team is completely eliminated.

    Development Status

Age of Enlightenment is currently in active development and playtesting.

    We are currently working on:

    • gameplay balance and mechanics
    • map and structure design

The following part is our long-term vision. For now, our main focus is finishing the first fully playable match experience with multiple maps and a polished core gameplay loop:

    Persistent Account Progression System

One of our long-term goals is to connect every match to a persistent player account system through our website infrastructure.

After each completed match, gameplay data is collected and linked to the player’s account.

    This includes:

    • match result (win / loss)
    • survival time
    • enemy eliminations
    • structures built
    • resources gathered
    • equipment used
    • skill proficiencies developed during the match

Players then receive experience points on their account, allowing them to progress over multiple matches.

    Skill Proficiencies

Weapon and tool usage contributes to specific proficiencies.

    For example:

    • using swords improves sword proficiency
    • using spears improves spear proficiency
    • using bows improves archery proficiency

As these proficiencies increase, players unlock bonuses that apply in future matches.

    Examples include:

    • increased weapon efficiency
    • improved stamina usage
    • faster handling speed
    • small combat bonuses

This allows players to gradually develop preferred playstyles over time.

    Research and Unlocks

Players will also be able to unlock new crafting recipes through progression.

These researched recipes can be used in future matches.

    Examples include:

    • advanced weapons
    • stronger armor
    • new defensive structures
    • improved siege tools

This creates long-term strategic progression beyond a single match.

    Vision

Our goal is to connect competitive Minecraft matches with a persistent progression system, combining tactical survival gameplay with long-term account development.

Each match becomes part of a larger progression journey rather than a one-time event.

Just finished new armor set for our dark fantasy PvP project ⚔️
Everything is fully custom modeled — no vanilla assets.

Would you use this in a survival match or during your friends pet hamster funeral?
