My computer will be working hard for the next 4-5 days while I wait for it to render an animation. About 9 minutes to render a frame. It will be about 30 sec long at 25 frames per second. So...close to 5 days of rendering

Basically you build a dungeon using pre-made template rooms you can choose from and place custom traps and mobs in the rooms to prevent invaders from getting to your treasure room. You have several Champions to choose from and level up as you invade and loot other people's custom dungeons. You can read more about it here http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/servers/pc-servers/2615115-champions-realms-produced-by-a-real-company-new

It isn't my server, I am just one of the art and graphics guys.

It will be part of a trailer to introduce a new server currently in development.
Here is another piece(a wallpaper) I did for the server, sorry for the watermarks.

Was making a custom brush and ended up making this when testing it. I never did a full image in a painting style before.

CrankerMan, that is looking real good so far, nice work.

I made a little gif from my run cycle test of an animation I am working on. Still needs some work, but thought I would share.

I have been using my tablet for drawing a lot lately and I am starting to feel much more comfortable with it. I am currently working on an animation for a client that will have both 2d and 3d in it.

I finished creating a group of drawn characters and would like to share it and get some feedback.

Nice job. It is looking pretty good. Your movements are well done, certain moves could be sped up a bit to show harder impacts. Also adding facial animations will add so much to it.
Overall it is well done. Keep it up.

It is looking pretty good. The specular highlights seem too white to me. If his clothes are a latex type of material it could work but if it is cloth it wouldn't be that bright. At first I thought it looked like it was transparent in those areas, especially since it is on a white background.

Not familiar with corel draw either. Simulate pressure can work as well I think. It just doesn't have the same auto smooth as illustrator.
At the end of the day practicing a bit everyday is the best way to improve.

It has been a while since i drew with a mouse. I think using a program like illustrator would work well for that. It auto smooths your lines and you can modify brush strokes later on if needed. Like thickness or if it starts and ends thinner. I heard inkscape is a free alternative for a vector based program like illustrator. I never used it but it may be a program for you to at least try out.

As mentioned before drawing on paper and scanning it or taking a pic of it to trace over digitally is a good workflow.

I usually sketch on photoshop and then "ink" it and color it on illustrator.

The video is too long. Cut it down to about 2.5 minutes max. That would speed it up 4 times. It could be sped up even faster than that since there is not too much going on.
Also as someone said already, add the finished image at the end. Adding it to the beginning is also helpful so people know what image you are making.

    3/10

good luck with your future videos.

Man that's a good character! Do you use a certain rig or it it your own private one? I know a lot of people are careful about revealing their rig but just wanted to ask.

Thanks, glad you like it. This was created with my personal rig I made when I had my skin rendering shop a while back. I have had lots of requests for the rig since I started it. I am actually making a new version of it and will be releasing it to the public after I finish an animation I been working on. I am thinking towards the end of October.

Your render is pretty good for your first. Nice job. I would suggest looking into the cycles render engine. I personally think it creates better results with less tweaking. It does however take longer to render an image, but it is worth it.

This image I made about 3 years ago. It is one of my few finished projects in blender, but i do have some things I need to fix on it. I am using it in an animation I am working on.

I have several minecraft character pose renders but I wouldn't consider them my best "renders" since they aren't in full scenes. Just characters themselves.

    Here is an example.

Its looking pretty good CreeperGirl. Once you get the hang of it you should start looking into adding expressions on the skins. It will add so much to the final render. Also have you tried out the cycles rendering yet? It takes longer to render but the results are worth it compared to the internal blender rendering engine.

I have been practicing my drawing and made this image in Illustrator. Let me know what you think.

I would suggest blender, but I never used MineImator before. Blender is not easy to just pick up and use right away. It can take time to learn but you can get great results once you know what you are doing, and of course the program is free

The base rig is what I made as a starting point for all character models I do. I just change the texture acording to the skin and extract the pieces from the texture to give it depth. As you see in the timelapse videos.

    @jjpivotz
I plan on making a few tutorials in the future. Will start with how I made the base model for the minecraft model. Now that I have 250 subscribers here I think that will be a good way to thank them for reaching it.

Here are a few more puppets I have done, along with my new personal skin

My new personal skin (he is the puppeteer )

I also just recently made a horse rig to use in the future

I created my own rig for these. For the faces I do them individually since each one is different.
