My friends and I started a server together on beta 1.7.3 yesterday.
It's been a lot of fun revisiting old memories -- a lot of us grew up together playing old Minecraft and we've all been way too busy to talk to each other as frequently as we used to. Life and stuff. Adulthood. Things to do. Anyway, we've played an UNGODLY amount of this server over the past two days and I thought it'd be nice to archive our shenanigans on here.

Shepsheps is building a base here now, I believe. It's a short walk from spawn, but we can't really see it anymore because it's blocked by...
V The world was normal until Shepsheps joined, and then within 20 minutes this was here. It's beautiful. We'll never get lost again.
Anyway, a few hours into our first session we encountered some classic beta server Jank(tm). I mistook it for a dungeon at first and got really excited, but alas. Chunk error.

That pink ... thing ... is a, uh, statue? that we made to comemorate Pink Sheep. We all got very excited about him and had to preserve his memory in ten quadspillion screenshots and a little monument bearing his
flesh wool ^__^

He seemed to have a Lovecraftian existential spiral when he saw the
Vbut I think he got over it... probably.
He is driven insane by the knowledge of that which he cannot comprehend.
Also here's my awesome glass water tower that I spent WAY too much time on. I ended up making a sand duplicator and switching over to singleplayer for this bad boy because I did NOT want to mine all that sand lol. If we're playing on beta we might as well use all its exploits (:

That about covers all the screenshots I've taken for now. I don't have screenshots of everything we've been doing, but I'll try to keep this updated with any new important/fun developments whenever I remember to screenshot. This has overall been a super fun experience so far. We haven't been able to play Minecraft as a group like this since at least 2021. I hope we manage to keep playing this world for at least a while.
