    Battle of the Ape. (Poem)
    Presented by WilliamJT.

    Upon stormy and cold strung night
    Began my adventure of which I now write,
    Starting when in bed warm and deep
    A crash awoke me from beautiful sleep.

    Launched I from blanket and pillow
    To peer through frost covered portal,
    Out of window, face I did see
    Something so evil it scared even me.

    A monkey I met, a gross hairy mound.
    With muscles great from head to ground,
    Outside my abode he did roar
    A challenge of battle, for glory and more.

    When spied I my awful foe
    Quickly I sped by tip toe,
    Till a weapon in my fist I had
    For the beast was getting pretty mad.

    A blazing rifle, black yet bold
    And shining new, not something old,
    Of death and fire it seemed to sing
    Surely ‘twas a weapon fit for a king.

    Then sighting at the hoary beast
    I aimed at head protected least,
    Next finger to trigger tugged did I
    Accompanied with single word, “Die!”

    In my head reverberating
    The boom all noise was saturating,
    A glow from muzzle of barrel did leave
    And hit was the enemy revealed by a heave.

    Monster was dead or so thought I
    But this decision was a lie,
    For round I shot had stopped at skull
    A mighty battle was to be this duel.

    With sudden motion starling me
    The monkey displayed two tusks of ivory,
    And with loud noise, (not quite loud as boom)
    He shoved his face into my room.

    A stool, three shoes and a vase
    Where destroyed with arm-like mace,
    Then in nervous moment of mine
    Released I my mag which was a bad sign.

    Things then were truly dire
    Another problem heaped onto the fire.
    The hairy infection scraped quite near,
    And finally I began to fear.

    To be destroyed in home so close to bed
    “Never!” shouted I shaking head,
    And with prayer and dexterity
    Wiped from chest new magazine.

    Now flipping gun to auto full,
    And charging handle with a pull,
    Released I did a mighty cry
    “Rutabaga” shouted I.

    Exclaimed this I know not why,
    But this boasting my courage high
    I held down trigger to the rear,
    And bullets exploded, hitting ape from ear to ear.

    The beast then fell in bloody mess,
    And to my readers must I confess
    No more ammo left had I to spare
    If the creature to stir again did dare.

    But foe moved even little not
    For bested he was and shot,
    So smiling at carcass trophy mine
    decided I back to sleep to dine.

    When morning came parents asked
    Why hole in wall was lying unmasked,
    I told them the truth, no fairytale
    What I had done through storm and hail.

    Father patted head of mine,
    Thanking me for heroic use of time
    Loving mother mistook me for a boy
    Naming my fearsome weapon but a toy.

    But cared I not for my stomach was a-rumbling
    For food I from bed came tumbling,
    And as the gloomy dark did cease.
    Sat I down for a victory feast.

    I wish there was a PMC community server.....there used to be one, but it is now offline.

    It would be great - PMC has all sorts of minecrafters. The community members can work altogether to create a great server and generally just have fun with others.

    Anyways, its just my thought, doesn't mean I am demanding to have one.
