Minecraft/Modding Mod Item Textures Not Working

benbojangles123As you can see in the title, the texture for my item that I added with a mod is not working. It shows the large purple and black missing texture square. The only way to get the texture to work is to go into settings, and set the language to English (US), even if it is already selected. I have checked my code several times over. I am making the mod for 1.12.

Maybe Try using MCreator?
They have a version for 1.11.2
Checking to make sure they have it for 1.12.......
Nevermind Dont use mcreator they only have it for 1.11.2

can people please pay attention to my posts before adding a new topic!?
otherwise i'm deleting this topic! and never asking for help ever again!!
anyways my mod is supposed to be a nether like coal dimension to compete against the iron dimension and the diamond dimension may the best mod win
the coal dimension is supposed to be in its alpha series right now for 1.5.2 don't worry
I will make the latest forge series one when i work my way up

Don't forget to use forge 1.11 not 1.11.2 or 1.11.1 just 1.11
