I usually build a village or town instead of just one house.
Each building is small but has its own function. For example, the mason's house stores all the building blocks. The blacksmith's house contains anvils, furnaces, and a lava generator.
I don't have empty buildings
(unless of course I'm building a liminal structure).
I weve often fallen off these bridgesI either sleep in a single dwelling house or any of the houses with a bed.
However, I place farms in the industrial zone or behind walls if I'm building a medieval fort.
