Before we can tackle what a waffle is, we must first begin to look at the fundamental underlying question "What is Reality?" - By conducting ourselves in a contemplative philosophical manner we can then begin to tackle the question "What is a Waffle?" which is not limited to the color variants of blue waffles, red waffles, or the illusive green waffle.

The age-old question which humans have applied their metacognition to: What is Reality?

Some might say reality is the crisp tang of morning air or the feeling of stubbed toes against an unyielding coffee table leg. Others argue it’s an intricate web of perceptions, beliefs, and the occasional misstep when you confidently wave back at someone who wasn’t waving at you.

But in our quest to answer this, we must consider the waffle: a culinary microcosm of existence itself. The waffle, with its symmetrical grid-like surface, mirrors the matrix of life: each square a tiny container for infinite possibilities. Is reality just a cosmic waffle, each of us trapped in a buttery, syrup-drenched square, trying to make sense of our place?

To truly comprehend reality, we must go beyond our sensory experiences. For instance, when you see a waffle, do you perceive its waffleness, or are you merely interpreting light bouncing off its golden ridges? Perhaps a waffle is only as real as your mind believes it to be; this being based on accumulated external sensory perception. Reality might just be the interplay between waffle and observer. Without you, is the waffle even there? Or worse—is it pancakes in disguise?

Reality is fluid, subjective, and potentially hiding a side of bacon. Much like the debate over waffles vs. pancakes, the question of reality may never have a definitive answer. But if there’s syrup involved, perhaps it doesn’t matter. Reality is what we make it: one bite at a time.
