I thought you'd like to know - at the end of Greybolt's newest blog post is the following:

But that's exactly the problem. Add those horns and the best it can look like is this.

    Obviously it isn't shaded yet.

Oh, I didn't notice those horns. They'll be hard to add without them looking incredibly strange though. My skin has wolflike ears and the only way they looked normal enough was by making them slicked back as if they were hair. I can't do that with demon horns.

Could you be more specific on the details you want? I shouldn't think there's a huge amount to add.

    Also it's uploaded now: http://www.planetminecraft.com/skin/a-request-from-zaruken/

PlanetMinecraft doesn't seem to be letting me upload the skin, so here is a preview of it in its current state.
    Preview of the Skin

Any constructive criticism would help, as those golden lines were difficult to incorporate into the skin properly. I'd imagine it looks rather bulky (maybe using the Alex skin template would help?), or maybe the shading is off. I was going for a simpler style of shading for this one to keep to the source material.

I want to give it a try, but I obviously can't get that giant thing on the back into it, so may you show us a few more pictures without that (and anything else that won't be able to fit into a skin) and with angles from the sides and back please?

    ZetasZeroCons:
    - At an age just low enough that you don't really get any money.
    - You have a discernible bedtime.

    And that's about it.

Pick up extra chores around the house for more allowance or something. Because at some point you'll be expected to do them for free anyway.

I am pretty much expected to do them for free. Actually, I quite enjoy tidying. I'm one for order and neatness.

Apparently, according to my parents, I should expect to stop getting free non-birthday/Christmas gifts and get a higher amount of pocket money. That should be nice.

Well, I'm 13 turning 14 in two months. I'd like to say I think I'm mature for my age, and that's what I think most other 12, 13 and 14-year-olds have put, but thinking about it I'd describe myself as more sensible than mature - as in, I can make mature decisions and generally be sensible around people, but when it comes to the adult world I'm pretty clueless. Aaanyway...

    Pros:
    - At an age just low enough that your parents sometimes buy you stuff on non-birthday/Christmas days.
    - Pretty much just at the age when you have access to everything and don't have to just lie about your age.
    - You have an easy way to meet people and interact with them - I'm not very social, so this is good. I'd imagine the workplace would be like this in some ways as well.
    - You have quite a lot of free time, particularly at the holidays - ample for video games and YouTube videos.

    Cons:
    - At an age just low enough that you don't really get any money.
    - Pretty much the age when people mistake you for more immature players, although I'll admit this doesn't happen much to me - I don't reveal my age on servers, and people I meet on forums are not discriminating. Although I can understand why older people are like this:
    - Many, many people my age in my school are immature or are, as we call them in England, 'chavs'. Watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVmmYMwFj1I for full effect. Obviously this is about adults, but kids are catching on to bad things these days.
    - You have a discernible bedtime.

    And that's about it.

My personal 'Rogue Under Luna' skin. It isn't really new, but I made many changes to it lately due to the next update of Minecraft, so I thought I'd post it here.

Okay then. Time for a 'detailed' analysis.

Shading technique: The shading itself is absolutely fine. It's my personal favourite type, and I don't have any problems with it.
Design: See, this is where I get a bit put off. They're just boring, blatantly. You need more creative designs, or at least more interesting ones. Try entering a skin contest, they have good themes that would help. Or maybe try basing skins on characters. Themes help. People don't really like bland things.

And now, tips for the future.
    1. Again, use themes to make your skins. Be creative! Make things you wouldn't see everyday.
    2. Something that helps is using the hat part of the skin. Whether it's making hair look scruffy, making nice hats, scarves or whatever, they help. I know you used them for the snowboarder's hood, but you need more.
    3. To get attention, you need to use more tags. They really do help.
    4. Check the forums often. You will usually find good tips.

I hope I helped, and good luck!

I'll probably join, but I might just procrastinate instead. That's always fun.

    I recently reshaded my skin: http://www.planetminecraft.com/skin/mid ... rcenary-y/
It's... Just some mercenary. Nothing really special. Oh, but it's also based on me and what I look like, with some influences from Kirito of Sword Art Online.

Griefers, spammers, and that's everyone I hate on Minecraft. I don't hate noobs because everyone was one at some point.
Oh wait no, I also hate people who leave floating trees and who make disproportionate buildings.

Yes, it's easy to make your own skin. But it takes a while to get a decent shape, shade it, and perfect it. I understood how your skin took a minute just by looking at it.

Ah, I guess I'm kinda overlooked as a skinner here. Why not? =3 If you, er, want to, of course.
Oh, and while I'm at it, I'll recommend my friend who's also overlooked and is good: http://www.planetminecraft.com/member/dovahkiwi/

I'm also fairly new and I was fairly unsure about my shading. 'Cross shading', as I call it, seems to be what most skinners use now. Use Paint.NET or Photoshop to make a palette for yourself and keep it in the non-used areas of your skin.

For hair or a hat, 7 colours for a palette is good. For other major colours, use 6 and for minor colours, use 3 or 4.

Your Delphox skin's shape is good, the shading just needs to be perfected. Or maybe it's shaded well, but I can't see it because my plug-in keeps failing. Ah well.

Oh, I'm watching that soon! I'll get to it after Ganondorf, so you may have to wait a while...
