The African penguin is a bird of the Spheniscidae family.

Like all penguin species, it cannot fly.

It feeds only on fish, such as sardines and anchovies.

It lives only on the south-western coast of Africa, in colonies on 24 islands. It is the only penguin species to live in Africa.

The species is endangered, due to many oil accidents near the islands and heavy egg collection in the past.

The main predators of this penguin are sharks and seals. Otherwise, on land, they can also be threatened by certain mammals.

Note: Due to its physical resemblance to the species: Magellanic penguin, galapagos penguin and Humboldt penguin, I don't plan to make these other penguins, although they have some differences.
