the thing wher the handle goes through the shield doesnt show up in game

Did you get the transparent pixels to work? I tried a round shield and it just rendered as black everywhere it was supposed to be transparent. Java 1.15.2 BTW.

I don't think it's dumb. It looks cool to me, but tragically, MOJANG did deliberately make it so that you can't use transparent textures on shields a few updates ago because some people felt it allowed cheating on PVP servers. They say the inability to see well while using a shield is part of the balancing of the combat system or something.



I don't know. I don't do PVP so I just wanted a shield that looked more interesting than a giant rectangle.



Regardless, nice shield. Too bad we can't use it anymore.
