Some time ago I built and published a turtle mob statue. Since the block palette is somewhat limited the statue didn't look exactly like the turtle mob. Therefore, I created a skin for the turtle mob using the available block palette. It's not a big change to the original skin nor 100% accurate but now my in-game turtles and the statue look a lot more alike.
