A doctor (English: medical doctor, abbreviated as M.D.; from the Latin medicinae doctor) is someone who because of his knowledge tries to heal people who are sick. Not everyone who cures disease can be called a doctor. To become a doctor usually requires special education and training and has a degree in medicine.
