Yeah, it just shrinks down the adult texture for chicks. I'll have to learn how to make data packs. I haven't messed with mods since 1.9

Well it would be if it had the long purple-ish tail and a bigger comb. Hens' coloration is more muted in real life, but I figured they're not really male and female in Minecraft, so I went ahead and used the more interesting looking coloration.



Like all things Minecraft, a certain impressionistic approach is required unless you want to get into higher level modding than I'm capable of. I did try the rooster tail, but it just didn't come out looking good to me painted on to the squared off back end.
