"This atrocious arachnid makes it's home in the corners of ruined pyramids, nesting itself in the sarcophagi of fallen kings. There they slip into the gold decorations and wraps of the mummy within to use as cover from the harsh desert sun. But by night time, the glistening eyes of ruby gems become a warning to all who wander the desert unwisely lest they meet eight legged death..." - Explorer's handbook

An Egyptian themed spider for those who desire a new look for these horrific creatures!
It seems people like some of these more desert-y mobs so here's another.

Thanks for checking this out!
Enjoy!

I think in my humble opinion that the Spider could have been better with darker colors. Yellow and white feel weird for me because you find spiders in caves and it doesn't really fit with a cave and the darkness of it...
I understand for egyptian purposes and the fact that Egypt has sands, which is light...
So I think the fact that spiders are found in caverns or at night is for me more important than the fact that it comes from a désert.

Thank you for your thoughts!

When I was making this skin, I chose to invert the usual spider we know in Minecraft. instead of dark greys, I used lighter whitish-tan colors which are more common among desert arachnids. Even at night the normally bright, sandy, colors still hide the spider. The main reference was the "Flic-Flac" spider which can have white limbs and a yellow abdomen. But I also wanted to keep a "Mummified" theme continued, so I combined the two. I am aware that a desert theme is rather niche as there are only a few biomes it fits in, but I found it a neat concept none the less.
