This mod has been developed for Norzeteus to help him construct old-style houses.
As it might interest some other players, I release it here and will add some features and frames progressively.
File:
Install Modloader 1.2.3
Put the mod zip file in the .minecraft/mods directory created by Modloader.
Recipe:
You first have to create beams

Use:
Then you can place the frame on a wall (it will be selected randomly, like for the paintings) and change it by right-clicking on it:
To change its color, apply a dye with right-click:
