So I was browsing for 1.12.2 mods that adds proper backstabbing to Minecraft with configurable. Unfortunately, those that do add it does it poorly, are hard to find, or are just outdated. So I was like, why not add a mod dedicated to adding backstabbing in MC like in TF2, CS:GO or other games. With it some basic daggers and customization for modpacks.

Features:
  • Daggers: Can backstab players out of the box, weaker than normal swords and cannot using sweeping edge but cost less to make
  • A config that lets you make any item be able to backstab, and mess with other stuff

Features:
-Config to allow backstab damage to bypass armor or not
-Config for bonus damage on backstab with a fully charged attack (not to be confused with multiplier)
-Added json updater to github and mod



Adjustments/Fixes:
-Lowered attack speed of daggers
-Lowered default damage multiplier on backstab

Backstabbing is a gaming term where you try to stab or hit somebody by the back.

There's a game called Team Fortress 2 which shows a good example for backstabbing. When you play as the Spy, the ninth class in the game, he has the special ability to instantly kill his opponents by "backstabbing" them with his iconic butterfly knife. That's all I have to say about this term.

Does backstabbing only work with the daggers?

You can go into the config and add id's of other items from any mod to the list and it will enable backstab for them
