Mokey Mod: Color Roulette

🎨 Color Roulette — The Roulette That Erases the Entire World, One Color at a Time

Picture this: you're mining peacefully, and suddenly a giant roulette wheel shows up on your screen, spins for 7 seconds and lands on... BROWN.

Goodbye wood. Goodbye dirt. Goodbye planks, wooden chests, platforms, treehouses. Everything brown across the whole world vanishes. And in 60 seconds, there's another spin.

Color Roulette is a Minecraft 26.3 (Fabric) mod that turns any world into a race against disappearance. Every minute, a roulette picks 1 of the game's 11 colors and EVERY block of that color is deleted from the world. You have one mission: reach the Nether or get a diamond before there's nothing left to stand on.

⚙️ How It Works

1️⃣ The host types a command and the game begins

2️⃣ Every 60 seconds (configurable), an animated roulette appears on every player's screen and spins for 7 seconds

3️⃣ The chosen color is announced in chat and every block of that color starts being removed from the world

4️⃣ The wheel keeps shrinking: a color that's been drawn never comes back, so each round fewer colors remain and the wheel adapts to what's left

5️⃣ A counter at the top of the screen shows the time until the next draw and how many colors remain

6️⃣ Whoever enters the Nether or picks up a diamond first WINS, with a victory screen, sounds and fireworks

🌈 The 11 Roulette Colors

🔴 Red · ⚫ Black · ⚪ White · 🟠 Orange · 🟡 Yellow · 🩷 Pink · 🩶 Gray · 🟣 Purple · 🔵 Blue · 🟤 Brown · 🟢 Green

The mod ships with over 1,100 blocks already sorted by color (each color is calculated from the block's texture, then hand-tuned where the game is misleading). A few examples:

🟤 Brown: logs, wood, planks, dirt, mud, farmland

🟢 Green: leaves, grass, ferns, moss, cactus, bamboo, slime

🩶 Gray: stone, gravel and ALL regular ores (including diamond ore!)

⚫ Black: deepslate (and deepslate ores), blackstone, obsidian, sculk

🔴 Red: netherrack, bricks, nether bricks, redstone, Nether ores

🔵 Blue: water, ice

🟠 Orange: lava

🟡 Yellow: sand, sandstone, glowstone, hay

🟣 Purple: amethyst, purpur, chorus

🩷 Pink: cherry, pink petals

Pro tip: diamond ore is GRAY. If gray gets drawn before you reach it... good luck. 😈

🛠️ Commands

All commands use /colorroulette and require OP permission (level 2 / gamemaster).

/colorroulette start

Starts the game. Resets all colors (all 11 go back into the roulette), clears the removal queue and schedules the first draw.

/colorroulette stop

Ends the game immediately.

/colorroulette spin

Forces an immediate draw without waiting for the timer. Only works while the game is running, not mid-spin, and with colors still available.

/colorroulette interval <seconds>

Sets the time between draws (from 1 to 86,400 seconds). The value is saved to the config automatically.

/colorroulette status

Shows whether the game is running or stopped and which colors are currently being deleted.

🧹 How Deletion Works

    • All dimensions: Overworld, Nether and End — blocks of the chosen color vanish from all of them

    • New chunks too: anyone exploring fresh terrain will find the world already "cleaned" of deleted colors (configurable)

    • Automatic re-scan: every 30 seconds the mod sweeps the loaded chunks again to catch anything that slipped through

    • Removal runs in per-tick batches so the server doesn't freeze (6,000 blocks per tick by default)

    • Blocks become air. Waterlogged blocks lose their water when blue is drawn

    • Chests, barrels and other blocks holding items are preserved by default, so nobody loses their loot

    • You can't place blocks of a color that's already been deleted — the mod blocks the action and tells you in chat which color was erased

    • Essential blocks are never removed: air, bedrock, barrier, light, Nether portal, End portal, End portal frame, end gateway, command blocks, structure blocks, jigsaw, structure void and moving piston

🏁 Win Conditions

🔥 Enter the Nether (any player in the Nether dimension wins)

💎 Have a diamond in your inventory

The check runs twice per second. The first player to meet either condition wins, the game ends and everyone sees the victory screen.

🔧 Configuration (config/colorroulette.json)

The file is created automatically in the config folder on first launch:

    • spinIntervalSeconds (60): seconds between draws

    • spinDurationMs (7000): roulette animation length

    • postSpinHoldMs (4000): how long the wheel stays on screen after stopping

    • wheelScreenFraction (0.3): wheel size relative to the screen

    • blocksPerTick (6000): blocks removed per tick

    • cleanNewChunks (true): cleans chunks generated after a draw

    • rescanIntervalSeconds (30): interval for re-scanning loaded chunks

    • touchInventories (false): if true, also deletes blocks that hold items

    • deleteLastColor (true): if false, the last remaining color is never drawn

    • cancelPlacingDeletedColors (true): blocks placing blocks of deleted colors

    • autoStart (false): starts the game automatically when the server boots
