The recipe is too easy. The way I did it in my Get Monster Drops On Peaceful mod is light-green dye and sugar. Maybe you should do something like that. Or you could copy my recipe. I wouldn't mind.

Hmm, the recipe is still too easy I'd say :P Why not make it so that you need seeds and leaves too, or anything organic. Fe, (seeds + water + dirt = slimeball) or (seeds + water + clay = slimeball)?
