Dirt Portals Mod is a simple mod that makes it so you can use dirt for portals rather than obsidian. This makes it easier to get to the nether without spending an hour mining obsidian. Have fun!

I really like this mod. I just wish you could make portal frames out of any material, and bigger than 4x5 blocks.

Hmn, I guess thats nice if you want to get there quickly, but I still prefer using obsidian. The danger of mining it makes it more worthwhile. Besides, if I wanted to get there that quickly I'd just hack in some obsidian.

It may require mod loader. Are you putting the files in .minecraft/bib/minecraft.jar with a zip viewer like 7z or winrar?

Open the minecraft jar. Drag the class files into the jar
