Make sure you can see hidden folders.

In mac: Go/Go to folder, and search ~/Library/Application Support/. And find mine craft folder.

For linux , go to Texture Packs , click Open Texture Packs Folder , and click Back , click Bin , open minecraft.jar with the archiver. That should also work with any OS.
