The Heart Crystals mod allows you to mine blocks called Heart Crystals, which generate underground. Break one and eat it, and you will gain one heart of maximum health!

Heart Crystals generate underground very rarely - update 1.1 adds the options to change generation height and rarity of hearts. The configuration file also controls how likely you are to keep hearts on death.

Pictured (in order): Heart Crystal, Heart Lantern, Heart Shard

Heart Crystals spawn in caves. You must find them and eat them to gain extra hearts.
Heart lanterns can be placed on floors or ceilings, and provide light and health when right clicked.
Heart Shards are a food item which give the player a regeneration effect, rather than healing hunger.

Adds in a config option to switch back to the old model if desired, under "oldModel" in the config file. Also displays the correct model in heart lanterns.

can you make a non adfly version? adfly does not let me get the file and prompts me to allow them notifacation access. Thanks

When I get around to updating this (probably in the summer) it'll be going up on CurseForge, which is non-invasive but still supports creators. AdFly is definitely not ideal, I might just switch the link to the mediafire.

Edit: Switched out the link. I had no idea AdFly had started forcing notifications, I'll definitely be cleaning out any AdFly links I have from previous projects.

This looks great! I love 1.7.10 mods, if you are still working on this could you make it configurable to half hearts per eaten? I want to make my experience a little harder :)))
