NEW AND IMPROVED VERSION 2

Minecraft community anvil let's you download and install from a selection of maps and resource packs with just a click of a button. When maps and RPs are added, they appear in the program without installing it again but restarting it.

The program doesn't auto update, so to get the new version (version 2), download it again.
How to install (Click to view)
1) Download the ZIP from the provided download link.
2) Extract everything in the ZIP file into a folder.
3) If you haven't, change your minecraft directory from the launcher by:
3.1) Opening the launcher,
3.2) Clicking [Edit Profile]
3.3) Checking "Game Directory"
3.4) Choosing a game directory outside of appdata and copying the directory.
3.5) Pasting that directory into the launcher's game directory box
3.6) Clicking save Profile
4) Run Community Anvil for the first time.
5) Find your minecraft directory you set in the 3rd step.
6) Start downloading awesome Maps and Resource Packs!
If you'd like to have your map or resource pack in the community anvil, fill this short form:

If you haven't made any maps or RPs, but you know some that are awesome, let me know in the comments below.

I could make a logo myself, if you really don't have one.
I love the concept and the simplicity. Diamonded, favorited, and subscribed to for future updates to your program.

Of course not! You only have to download and extract the program and if you haven't, change your minecraft directory from your minecraft launcher, so you could find it in Community Anvil.
ok thanks :) didnt read through the info to well i guess...

i feel ya on that. I'll try to help ya out by doing a spotlight on your mod for next week.
I'll send to my subscribers too once i do a reveiw on to try and get ya a little fanfare as well.

I think its nice to see something like this. They have it for mods, So.. why not Maps? :)
Have you thought about makeing something like this for texture packs too?
This also isn't a mod. It's a program.

According to the PMC submission rules, a 'Mod' counts as any code related project relevant to Minecraft. This includes programs and games.

The only way right now you can help is by finding awesome maps to put in the program and telling me about them in here, the comments.
you may enjoy checking out my list at http://www.theminecraftreview.com/map-reviews.html

we basically spend a few hours a week searching thru maps on PMC, MCF, and MM
and look for maps we feel are worth peoples time. Then, we provide links and basic infromation plus a nice video we ushally find on youtube for people to check it out.

You may find some good maps thru there. :)

This is a really cool thing :) Personally, i like the way not EVERYONE is able to upload there maps.
Since, it would fill up space with maps that maybe arnet that good.

I kinda like it when a few people can decide if  a map is worth adding. It helps to weed out
the ones that still need refinement :)

You should try to get it to automatically get projects from pmc or that users can automatically upload projects on a website or something

We can't make the system automatic, but I'll make a google form, so it'd be easy for everyone to send us stuff

This is gonna make uploading projects so much more easier! It would really help if you put a mod that either increases your ingame view distance like crazy, or a map renderer just like this one.

Do you mean, that we should add a mods section?

I dont think adding a mods section would be a good idea, since mods get updated a lot by there makers.
It would make having someone possibly use an outdated version with bugs that have already been fixed.

I see this kind of thing all the time on techic forums due to people NOT knowing the mod is updated cause the downloaded it from some malware site, or some site that steals mod authors work. :/

No, that was just a suggestion so that if you made it, the user could have a finished upload on PMC: Good renders and a quick project.
