MCE - short for MinecraftContentExpansion - is a mod which aims to expand the game while keeping the "original feeling". All main features can be toggled in the config.
The mod adds new blocks, items, mechanics and also changes some existing game mechanics.
This includes new ways of wood working, new tool & armor crafting, new materials, new decoration and building blocks, new crops and food, new and expanded early game, energy based machines for the late game and much more!

To answer your questions:
- You can charge drill in the battery block.
- Unim (green dust) can be smelted into ingots and these can be used to craft tools and armor.
- Brass (light yellow ingot?) has currently no use.
- Spears are currently not craftable as they are WIP. Functionality will probably be added in 0.7.2
Generally it is advised to play with JEI installed so you can see all recipes.Great job 👍 keep it up
