First sorry for my bad english! I'm german, 14 years old and this is the first mod I've ever made!
This mod is about neon. It will add some new Blocks and Items!
New blocks and items
Items:
Neondust:
You'll get it, if you put neonore in a furnance! All neon items will be crafted with neondust!!!
There are two colors of neondust! Green and purple. For Example: If you put green neonore
into a furnance, you'll get green neondust!
Tools:
Craft your tools like you craft diamond or iron tools, but with neondust!
You can craft the tools with every neondust you want! For Example: If you craft a pickaxe with purple
neondust you'll get a purple pickaxe!
You can't mix the different neondusts!
Armor:
Craft your armor like diamond or iron armor, but with neondust!
You can craft the armor with every neondust you want! For Example: If you craft boots with purple
neondust you'll get purple boots!
You can't mix the different neondusts!
Blocks:
Neonore:
The mod will add random neon ores in your world! It'll generate ca. 10% less neon ores then iron ores!
There will be three types of ores. Green and purple neon ores.
Neontoxic:
You can use every neondust you want to craft neontoxic! Don't fall in it!!!
Neonblock:
You can use every neondust you want to craft a neonblock. For example: If you use green neondust
you'll get a green neonblock!
You can't mix the different neondusts!
Neonlamp:
You can craft neonlamps with neondust!
You can craft them with every neondust you want!
You can't mix the different neondusts!

Instructions:
(You need Risugami's ModLoader for this mod!)
1) Locate your minecraft.jar file. On Windows, it's in %APPDATA%/.minecraft/bin
2) Create a backup of minecraft.jar
3) Open minecraft.jar in an archive editor (WinRar/7-Zip/etc)
4) Delete META-INF folder!!! (If you didn't already...)
5) Copy everything you find in the zip folder into your JAR. Replace files and folders!
6) Run Minecraft and have fun! :)
This is just release 1.1, so it's not done all right now.

Sorry, for some reason this is the only way I could comment (This is the eighth time I've tried this). Anyways I mean that you can dye the neondust with other dyes. Then with the dyed neondust, create a new crafting recipe. It should be a new torch. Instead of coal in the original recipe for torches, put the dyed neondust in place of it. This would still have the same properties as a torch.
glowsticks like a sort of lantarn: if you hold it it will also emit light and you can place it down
the nenon starter colors are paintable like wool example: if you take a lapis lazuli and put it in with an green neon dust it wil become blue neon dust wich you can craft into other neon shit etc and no color combining just if its like blue and you do cactuss green it just will become green craft the cyan dye and then use it on a green 1 and it will become a cyan neon thing
Also, can you make the neon lamps less hard to get? I mean neon dust is quite rare so making loads of blocks to make lamps will be hard, how about just 4 blocks so instead of:

it will be:

for 7 lamps
Oh and for a new idea, you could have a Radioactive Barrel. It would be crafted from Neon Dust and Iron. Crafting Recipe Idea:

Iron Iron Iron
The Radioactive Barrel would explode a bit weaker than TNT but it will leave toxic waste behind upon explosion, and will deal damage (maybe 1 or 2 hearts) to anything that touches it, and as the same as TNT, it would explode when powered by a redstone circuit or something.
Second Idea: Neon Toxic Waste
The toxic waste will be like the barrel, it will deal damage (maybe 1 or 2 hearts) to anything that touches it and acts like a fluid. This toxic waste is automatically release by the Radioactive Barrel upon explosion but can be crafted from 1 Neon Dust by itself.
One last thing: you put three different ores in the spoiler, when there are only two different ores, apart from that, BRILLIANT MOD!
