🧩 What is PaperArtifacts?

PaperArtifacts brings the beloved Artifacts mod experience to Paper & Spigot servers as an addon for CuriosPaper.

It adds 45+ unique magical items with custom textures that players can discover through dungeon loot, mob drops, and abandoned campsites — underground structures that generate naturally in your world. Some chests in those campsites might be Mimics — hostile mobs disguised as chests that attack when opened!



Every item is fully configurable, has a custom resource pack model, and works out of the box.

🏕️ Campsites & Mimics

Abandoned campsites generate underground in caves. They contain beds, crafting stations, furnaces, barrels, and loot chests — some with artifacts inside.



But be careful — some chests are actually Mimics. They look like normal chests, but when you open one, it transforms into a hostile mob with custom animations and sounds. Mimics only exist inside campsites and won't activate unless you interact with them. Defeat one to earn a random artifact!



Chests can also be trapped with TNT underneath. Exploration is rewarding — but risky.

🌐 Geyser & Bedrock Edition Support
PaperArtifacts provides full GUI slot icon and item texture support for Bedrock Edition players joining via GeyserMC.

• Automatic Setup: If Geyser is running on the same server, PaperArtifacts will automatically detect Geyser's folder on startup, extract the mappings and resource pack, and copy them directly to Geyser's packs/ and custom_mappings/ folders.
  
• Manual Setup (Proxy/Separate Server): If Geyser is hosted on a separate proxy (e.g. Velocity/BungeeCord) or automatic setup is skipped:
  1. Retrieve the files from your server's plugins/Artifacts/geyser/ directory (extracted on startup).
  2. Copy Artifacts_Geyser.zip into your Geyser packs/ folder.
  3. Copy Artifacts_mappings.json into your Geyser custom_mappings/ folder.
  4. Set enable-custom-content to true in Geyser's config.yml and restart Geyser.

📥 Getting Started

1. Install CuriosPaper on your server
   
2. Drop Artifacts.jar into your plugins folder
   
3. Start the server — done!
   

Artifacts will start appearing in dungeon chests, dropping from mobs, and generating in campsites across your world. Use /baubles to open the accessory menu and equip them.

This plugin is a server-side reimplementation for Paper & Spigot using the CuriosPaper accessory system. This is not a official port.
