Welcome to derfl007's Road Mod
Ever wanted to make your cities more realistic? Well you can start with adding roads, traffic lights, road signs, and more with this mod.
Some Blocks you'll find:
Asphalt Block - Generates in the world and yields tar when smelted, which is important for crafting
Road Blocks with various types of lines - Most of them also exist as slopes
Road Signs - The textures are based on Austrian signs, but feel free to make a texture pack with your own signs
Town Signs - Write your own text on them
Sign Printer - Used for crafting signs, requires base signs and some ink cartridges
Street Lanterns - They automatically turn on at night, pretty cool right?
Traffic Lights - They are animated, so you'll be able to actually use them in traffic (There are static versions as well)
There are some interesting mechanics for some of these Blocks, you'll find all information in the Wiki, as soon as it's finished
Items:
Tar - Used for crafting Road Blocks
Wrench - Used to rotate the top textures of Road Blocks, especially useful for slopes
Sign templates - Round, Squared and Triangular; Used for crafting of Road Signs
Ink cartridges - Cyan, Magenta and Yellow; Also used for crafting of Road Signs

If anyone's wondering, a 1.13 version is in the works, so be sure to stay up to date!
UPDATE: As 1.14 forge has already been released i've taken a look into the changes, and while most of them should be able to be automated, it will still take quite some time, especially as my 1.13.2 version still isn't finished. I'll try to keep working on it and keep you up to date!
I've noticed that when I try to open a world, or do much at all, I get a crash with something to do with the lanterns. Here's the pastebin:
