SpellCraft is a plugin for Bukkit that lets you cast a variety of fairly cool spells. Spells can be acquired by sacrificing blocks in an altar, and they cost mana from killing mobs in order to cast. Full details can be found here.

It doesn't? Better update it... one minute.

Also, as for ssp. Short answer: No. Long answer: Since it runs on the Bukkit API and the client has nothing like that, I'd need to recode it from scratch, which I would REALLY prefer not to.
