What I think is make it so instead the HANDLE alone is made of the old sword then make the REST of the sword is made of the new material! That way its not such a cheapscape way out of getting multiple diamonds!

this is to cheap of a mod the diamond sword it worth 2 diamond not one diamond and 2 planks.

You should make a upgrade hammer so that they need to craft it. Then that so its not overpowered.
It's my thought.
