Nice work, I think it should only spawn around lava to make it hard to get. Diamond for you!

You're too kind. Yeah just like when we try to harvest obsidian and the block next to it is lava, can be tricky. In those cases it's good to have water to pour around the area to keep the lava turning to obsidian. I'm not sure if you mean for the volcanic stone to be a building material, but maybe you can add some extra difficulty by making it turn to something else or fall apart when it is touched by water. That would keep people from being able to use the water trick against the lava around it to make it easier to harvest. Maybe it makes it turn to obsidian. Just another idea.

this is pretty awesome! One tip: maby you can replace the blue with a stone-like texture. It will look nicer
