For Minecraft java 1.21.4 Neoforge so add the .jar file into the mods folder
A — Prepare NeoForge (client)
Download the NeoForge installer for Minecraft 1.21.4 (NeoForge 21.4 builds are available on the official NeoForge site). NeoForged+1
Run the downloadedneoforge-installer.jar(Java required). Choose Client install and target your existing Minecraft launcher/profile (the installer will create a NeoForge profile for 1.21.4). If you want server-only, choose Server instead. (General installer steps shown in NeoForge guides). Minecraft Mods+1-
- [/*]
After installation, open the Minecraft launcher, select the NeoForge / 1.21.4 profile and run once to generate folders.
B — Install the Weapon mod (client)
Locate your Minecraft game folder:
Windows:%appdata%/.minecraft
macOS:~/Library/Application Support/minecraft
Linux:~/.minecraft
Inside the game folder you should now have amodsfolder (NeoForge creates the mods folder like other mod loaders). If it doesn’t exist, create it. Reddit
Copy yourweaponmod-<version>.jarinto.minecraft/mods/.
If your mod requires any library dependency jars (e.g., a shared library you used), put those in the samemodsfolder as well.
Launch the NeoForge 1.21.4 profile. Confirm Weapon Mod shows in the Mods list and test by creating a world and spawning/ crafting weapons from your mod.
C — Install on a NeoForge server
Install the NeoForge server via the same installer or download a NeoForge server build for 1.21.4. NeoForged+1
Start the server once so it generates themodsfolder, then stop it.
Copyweapon Mod-<version>.jar(and any dependency jars) into the server’smodsfolder.
Ensure clients connecting have the same Weapon Mod jar & NeoForge client version, otherwise the client will either crash or be prevented from joining. (Client/server version parity is required.) blog.campfirehosting.com
Start the server and check server logs for any mod-loading errors.
