One of the most important features of worldedit is the selection. So I thought it has to be in Minecraft Vanilla. You can easily select an area and fill or outline it with any block you like.
The selection tool is also the base of other tools in Worldedit Vanilla.
INSTALLATION
To use the tool, you should download the zip-file here. Cheats and creative mode have to be enabled on your world/server. There are two ways to install the tool:
USAGE
Select positions by right-clicking a block. When position 1 shows up you can click again and get the second position. The selection is shown by a cool particle preview.
You need to enable particles!
You can reduce the amount of particles if your computer has low performance:
Or just deactivate them:
You can change the material as always with a left click. The area can be filled or outlined as following:
To access a interface with a right-click to do this or select floating points select the tool, look down and sneak.
By removing items with
The tool shares the storage for blocks and the selection within 200 blocks with other players. To improve multitasking and compability, there are the Slots in Vanilla Worldedit. You can save different blocks in the 8storage slots and use them at the same time.
You can select your desired tool, by using the same amount of feathers at crafting. For example if you take 6 feathers, you´ll get the 6th tool, that uses the storage space 6.
At removing or resetting the tool, the storage and functions should be deleted at first. The command /function/we:sel/remove removes all arrears and deactivates the pack. The zip-file can be deleted safely now.
Within the tool is a short assistance: /function we:sel/help. There are listed all functions and commands.
