Hello PlanetMinecraft!
Recently we, Two Designs, were Informed of a small contest, run by the brilliant builder Venom! The Rules were simple, build big, build well... but build within a 30 x 30 plot! This seemed like a great challenge and we discussed who would step up to represent us both. After a talk me and my team mate concluded on myself to build for our joint PMC account. So that's just what I did!
Univert, A floating island medieval build with a twist (literally)... its all inverted! That's right, this entire build has been made upside down, block by block, no use of worldedit or other mods, pure vanilla creative! Why have I done it like this? Well, I'll tell you! Personally I love building floating islands and what not, but the contest asked for originality and creativity, so a normal floating island just wouldn't cut it! So... lets flip the whole darn thing!
Doku Craft light was the texturepack used in the building of this map!
I don't think a back-story effects the marks given, but I do like to write them so a quick one wont hurt :)
Back-story
In any Ocean, from any biome. Look up to the sky for a small cluster. A cluster of what? A cluster of islands of course! Rips in time and space gather in unpopulated skies, shifting the force of gravity itself, and flipping anything within its boundary's. They range no more than 30 by 30 blocks, but can be infinite in height. Peaceful beings live here, hidden from corrupt minds and dangerous people. The rip in time that surrounds them keeps them perfect beings. They do not age, they do not eat or sleep. They simply exist and expand upwards, to the sky. So next time you're floating through an ocean. Look up. Maybe you will be able to join those beings, in harmony.
So, Thank you members and judges alike for taking the time to read this, and to all the other entries, the best of luck! Hope the best build wins! :)
