To all un-recognised builders out there:
Someone said to us the other day that there's not enough blocks in minecraft? He complained that you wern't able to build something great with what you have now because everything has been done... This is minecraft!? Come on guys... There's millions, billions of block combonations out there waithing to be built by you!

Anyway, 5 days after this person complained we showed him this: Nine Blocks. A castle made out of nine diffrent blocks (Excluding Grass and lighting). The total build time was just over 10 hours, which spread across 5 days... thats pretty decent! [Add 2 hours for surroundings!]

So what we're really showing here is:
A) Another awesome build for you guys ;)
B) Don't think you can't compete with others out there, other styles are waiting!
and C) You don't need 1000's of diffrent blocks to make a brilliant build!

The DSC is greatly appreciated!

Please Diamond is you liked the build!

The nature update! : by Two Designs 03/26/2014 5:49:50 amMarch 26, 2014 @ 9:49 am UTC

The surrounding area is now looking much nicer! Although it's now not at its original '9 blocks' We feel that the addition is extremely minor since most is just decoration :)
Whats been added?
  • New surrounding area!
  • Updated to 85%!
  • New pictures!
  • Fixed spelling miskates :3

  Have something to say?

Great use of shape and detail, though I feel there is little variance in the pattern and not enough contrast. I don't particuarly think that blocks should limit a built though. The more blocks the better. I use up to 9 blocks for basic walls on the exterior, 3 blocks for detail and a seperate set of blocks for interior. It looks great, though! Check out some of my work, especially this: Medieval Town House

Keep up the good work!

It's a nice shape, But when talking about blocks and there combinations I feel it's best to show a defualt side of it as well seeing as it represents you making a combination with what minecrafte offers you with out midifying the game at all.

But like I said it ooks nice so have a damn diamond :p

We've not seen it been done before. Maybe it will open up a new building challenge! Like how skinners have selected colours, builders have selected blocks, or even limmited blocks :o

We considered starting our own contest, but due to our newly formed account we didn't think we'd get that many entries :( Maybe when we hit 50 subs? Maybe more :D Who knows :)
