Sculk Scheme is a tower defense map inside Minecraft!
Mysterious portals have been opened in different places, and monsters are coming through them. Organize your defense, and place different types of towers to fight multiple waves of monsters.
With each level, new monsters and mechanics will be introduced. All levels are designed within a 100x100 block area, and paths taken by monsters can be more or less complex, more or less long... and of course, special mechanics for each level may be introduced and require some adaptation on your side. Trying to deal fire damage to a blaze is not going to be very efficient for example.

Different monsters, different towers. Everything has its own characteristics. Skeletons can block arrows, Phantoms are hard to target with most towers and will always take the shortest path, Witches can heal other monsters... and there are even more to discover!

Multiplayer Support
Planning to play on a server? The map has an integrated resource pack and a data pack, make sure to have those installed for all players.
The map should be fully compatible with SMP, players can join other players in an active level or start their own on their side to not interfere with other players. That's up to you.

The map is currently a work in progress. Not everything is present inside. It is presently working with Minecraft 1.19.4 but some planned features for the map will require Minecraft 1.20. A full release of the map is expected for Minecraft 1.20.
Current State of the Map:
* 6 Levels currently available out of 10 planned
* 7 Unique towers with their specificities, each one can be upgraded to level 10
* 16 Unique types of monsters
* Partial French support, map can be fully translated using a resource pack

Changelog V0.6 - Hot Deals and Cold Bodies : by Mlakuss 10/29/2024 4:35:15 pmOctober 29, 2024 @ 8:35 pm UTC
It has been a very long time since the first early access... And I thought I was going to finish for 1.20 release!
But the project isn't dead. And 1.20 / 1.21 have added some new interesting features for mapmakers... so I used them.
This version is still not the final one, but big progress has been made and the level of polish for the current levels is close to what I want for the finished product.
General
Towers
The towers from the Arsenal should be on a higher power-level than the 5 basic ones to make them more appealing but are also come with some weaknesses. The Evoking Tower is not able to target flying monsters and is bad against fast-moving enemies. However, it is extremely strong against groups of enemies and in earlier waves. The Poison Tower may be a bit underwhelming in its first levels but quickly turns very strong once the Wither level is increased. The Wither effect also has the advantage of bypassing damage cooldowns, so the damage cannot be reduced by another tower.
Levels
After adding more levels, I realized that going for 15 waves per level is making the map quite long to complete. Level 8 & 9 are probably going to be shorter (but by giving more gold at the start so I can start with bigger monsters right from the start).
Monsters
Planned before the map will be considered "done"
Known Issues:
- Camels do not have passengers
- Some husks are not properly walking on the path
That's all folks - See you in the next update!
(No ETA for future updates: I'm too busy playtesting my own map)

General
- The game version required is now Minecraft 1.21.2
- Due to a huge number of changes in commands, it's possible that some monsters now have a slightly different behavior
- Added Difficulty Setting. Can be modified in the lobby. The game is balanced around "hard" mode.
- Added Server Mode Setting: It prevents normal players from entering the options area and enables an "anti-cheat" function preventing users from having game-breaking items in their inventories and constantly checking for their game mode.
- The Arsenal is now open: buy new towers there! Or take a bit of time to talk with our mysterious shopkeeper.
- Food bar is now hidden as food is unused on this map
- Increased player range for easier tower placement
- New Levels have been added
- The transition between levels is now cooler
- Added new advancements
Towers
- Modified the sound effects of the Crossbow Tower
- Modified the appearance of the Thunder Tower
- Added a visual indicator for the cost of towers you can't afford yet
- Added the Evoking Tower, it needs to be purchased in the shop
- Towers unlocking: Some towers now need to be unlocked in the Arsenal.
- Poison Tower is now a purchasable tower in the shop.
- Poison Tower is now cheaper to craft (200 -> 175).
- Increased the base damage of the Fire Tower (+0.5)

Levels
- Modified Level 1 - Added a new player-controlled crossbow, the amount of damage caused by this crossbow is low on purpose and can only be controlled by one player at a time.
- Also in Level 1 - In your first game, towers are unlocked one by one after each wave. This gives a little "tutorial" aspect to this level
- Added Level 5 - Mobs entering the Mines will be transported to a random Mine Exit. Mobs reaching the end of the path can respawn in the Mines.
- Added Level 6 - It's cold out there! You should stay warm or you will be slowed down.
- New visual effect when completing a level for the first time
After adding more levels, I realized that going for 15 waves per level is making the map quite long to complete. Level 8 & 9 are probably going to be shorter (but by giving more gold at the start so I can start with bigger monsters right from the start).
Monsters
- Added a visual indicator for monsters' health
- Added Husk monsters - Empty husks can be randomly teleported to a respawn point when damaged
- Added Camels - ?!
- Added Strays - Exposing them to fire reduces their armor permanently.
- Added Breeze - Arrows and snowballs bounce on them!
- Fixed spiders having erratic movement
Planned before the map will be considered "done"
- The Breacher - A New Tower able to reduce the armor of monsters
- Level 7-10 (with more monsters!) - 2 of them are already built and waiting to be populated
- More advancements
- More fun stuff like the arbalest in level 1
- Multiplayer testing & debugging: While the map is in theory compatible with servers it hasn't been tested.
Known Issues:
- Camels do not have passengers
- Some husks are not properly walking on the path
