Built by ALCo in 1904 for the Southern Pacific, 3025, an Atlantic type locomotive, was designed for high-speed passenger service, featuring 81 inch drivers, allowing it to reach speeds of 100 miles per hour. 3025 was in service until 1952, when it was donated to Travel Town. 3025 was one of the first locomotives to be donated to the museum, and the first standard gauge locomotive to be displayed.
