so today I was messing around in worldpainter and tried out some height maps.
after a while, I got bored of making volcanoes, lakes, rivers, mountains etc...
so I made this instead!
I basically took a picture of Beethoven that i found online, made it into a height map and popped it into worldpainter. Then I went in game for some final touches!
This map took me a little while to make and i hope you guys will enjoy it as much as i did making it
grow 10 big jungle trees
find the stronghold
make a jukebox
get a record
party like its 1799!!
must play on easy-hard
This world is not as big as your average minecraft world. It only expands a few blocks from the island, after that, its just a deep ocean (from bedrock to y:62)..

Can you please tell me how to edit pictures like that?
do you mean how do make height maps based on pictures?I used photoshop and basically just painted black and white on top of a picture I found online. (black being the bottom and white being the top) then I imported the height map into Worldpainter! :)
there really isn't any way for me to explain it, since I had to go through a lot of trials and errors..
download the font "Minecrafter" (you can find it on dafont.com)
type your text, then right click your text layer and click on rasterize.
then change the perspective of the layer by going to edit, transform and perspective, then drag the upper corners towards the middle of the text (be careful not to drag it too far)
when thats done, double click the layer to open up the layer effects. add a stroke.
then right click the layer again and click make smart object, and then right click it once again and click rasterize.
then get the move tool and select the layer.
hold in alt and click the down arrow until you have reached the depth you like :)
once thats all done, select all the layers, right click and click on "merge layers"
I hope this helped :)
