This is a slime farm based off of a concept I originally saw on the Minecraft sub-reddit here. In 1.8, slimes were changed to actively target iron golems. This farm was built in a quad slime chunk with a tower in the middle that contains iron golems that draw the slimes to the middle. In a perfect perimeter, I was able to get 4 double chests of slimeballs in one hour.
