In the mid 60's dodge created a new car, the Charger and took it to race in NASCAR, while initially unsuccessful due to a number of flaws the 66 and 67 dodge chargers could never beat the ford mustangs on the circuits the charger 500 came into the scene in 1968 but was ultimately a failure although a step in the right direction, Chryslers missile division which was layed off were told that they could keep their job through enhancing the performance of the charger for the upcoming 1969 season for nascar with the then new 1969 dodge charger B body being the new body. the workers began fixing the cars aerodynamic problems and fixing its appalling handling with the car now featuring a spoiler and a nose cone, the Charger daytona was born. the charger daytona went on to take victory throughout its short period with it only seeing competition through the Plymouth Superbird(which was built on the same specifications of the charger daytona just modified onto the body of Plymouth road runner) unfortunately both the charger and daytona were banned due to their superior performance due to the aerodynamic enhancements. Today i have built the 1969 dodge charger daytona.


note that the nose is slightly incorrect due to difficult task of trying to create the challenging nose in a block
