Alright, well its about time I uploaded something! So here it is! Its not really a Minecraft world, but in a sense it is. Its a separate application, where you can play Minecraft in the second dimension. I've worked a while on it, and I hope you enjoy it. I will update it every so often, but I just did it as more of a challenge to myself to see if I was good enough of a coder. Don't worry about what computer you are on, Java, the language I used to write this one works on any computer.

CONTROLS
~~~~~~~~~

W = Move player up a ladder
A = Move player left
D = Move player right
1 - 9 OR 1 -6 with Shift down = Select a block
Space = Jump
Left click = Break
Right click = Place
F1 = Save
F2 = Open

Additional Notes

Collision detection is kinda buggy! Don't get mad at me for it! I'm doing my best.

Yep! You can run this on windows, linux, mac, solaris, you name it. I use Java, a Bytecode OOP programming language that oracle developed for every single platform! Its the same language and game engine that minecraft itself uses, so it should work fine.

I know what java is :) but also, i would like to start development on my own mini-game, could you give me the place that you learned java? weather it is a company for teaching people, or just a nice, friendly wiki page... I would love you if you just helped me out here, because i have spent countless hours looking for a site that treats you like a beginner, not an expert, and teaches you the many tools of java. But thanks for making this...

I would love to send you the page that I learned this from, but there is not just one. I learned bits and pieces from different wikis and sites, then pieced the rest together. And sure, you can make a Youtube video of it. That would be awesome

It shouldn't. Are you on an old computer? It does take a while to boot, even on my newer one. My start up method is not very good for old computers. It loops through several thousand lines of code before starting, to generate the world. Sorry.
